If you are interested in fostering one of our rescues, we would love to hear from you! Transport can be arranged in most cases, and all vetting is covered by our rescue. Please contact us at info@SaveALabNC.com for more information, or you may complete and submit the foster application online here. We will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.
The Importance of Fostering
Fosters play a crucial role in the rescue process. Animal shelters and boarding facilities can be very stressful for dogs, and are unsuitable for those that are ill, very young or very old. A foster home provides an environment that is much healthier for the dog both physically and mentally. It also enables us to observe how the dog behaves in a home environment so that they can be better matched with an adoptive home.
Fostering can be a tremendously rewarding experience! One of our fosters has written a poem which truly captures the essence of what fostering is all about. Click here to read "My Very Important Job" by Danielle Greuter.
